>> Horizon Air's online campaign for their Portland-Seattle commuter shuttle is the most audacious piece of web marketing I've seen in a while. Through a series of sepia-tone, Ken Burns-like vignettes, we learn the long and sad history of "The Slog" -- the three-hour drive from Seattle to Portland. Having made that drive a few times myself, I can readily attest to the bleakness of "the big repave," the "third-world bathroom conditions" at Filthy John's Holler and the existence of feral basketball players in the woods.
