It's undoubtedly the addition of music to the animations; you almost feel sorry for the poor little Mars Rover as the sun dips below the Martian mountains. The case being made that NASA is altering the color of images taken by the Explorer is pretty compelling and interesting. I can understand enhancing photos for readability or cropping them for clarity (it's something I did daily for years), but I can't understand why NASA would alter the images to make them more red. Take a look and decide for yourself. I haven't done a great job posting; between work, travel and thousands of meaningless things I do to while away the time, this site comes last. Perhaps that will change in 2004.
