>> The new film by Sofia Coppola, "Lost in Translation," looks promising. It's got Tokyo, which is always good for the eyes; Scarlett Johansson, of "Ghost World" infamy; Giovanni Ribisi, who I'd thought was dead until I saw this trailer. Most importantly, it's got Bill Murray in his hangdog "Groundhog Day" guise, singing "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love and Understanding" in a karaoke bar.
The trailer looks good, but trailers cannot be trusted, so we'll just have to wait and see. It's got to be good to knock "Pirates of the Carribbean" outta of my top spot for 2003. Yes, I'm serious.
