>> It's always interesting to see how different headline writers try to tell a story that everyone already knows in two to five words. You try to avoid cliches, and you try to create something memorable and unique. At the same time, you realize that you're designing for history -- the page you make is one that people will stash away and keep for years and years to pass along to future generations. If I miss anything about newspapering, it's news days like this. I realize that may sound cold and callous, but if you've worked in the media, you know what I mean.
