It is a game, Mary Poppins ... isn't it? The digital art of
John Haddock recreates the most disturbing images of our recent past -- the Rodney King beating, children fleeing a napalm attack in Vietnam -- as a series of "Screenshots" from non-existent computer games. A bit heavy-handed, but interesting nonetheless -- and if you find the whole enterprise a bit, you know,
terrifying, Haddock also recreates classic movie scenes, including the firing of David Tomlinson's Mr. Banks in "Mary Poppins." Supercali-fatalistic-expialidocious.
