This weekend, I finished reading Anthony Bourdain's "Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly." Fantastic book. If you are a regular reader of The New Yorker, you might have seen some of Bourdain's writing, since two chapters of the book ran in the magazine. Either way, it's a quick, good read.

The guy's a bit arrogant, but his insights into high-end kitchens are fantastic. You'll never order your steak well-done again. Hell, if you do now, stop reading this site and go away.
